Yesterday I released an update for iTweak which fixed a couple of issues in the search and replace mechanism. I updated the download link for this site, but had an error in the URL. The link is now fixed and you can download iTweak.

Thanks to the clever guys at MacRumors, the multitouch gestures known from the new MacBooks are now “available” to the MacBookAir as well as all the other MacBooks with semi-mulitouch. YAY!!!
So here goes how you do it:
- Backup your MacBook!
- Make sure you run Mac OS X 10.5.6.
- Download and unzip the modified kext file.
- Using the Finder, navigate to
System/Library/Extensionsand delete the fileAppleUSBMultitouch.kextBacking the file up to another harddrive isn’t such a bad idea.
- Put the downloaded and modified kext file into the folder you just deleted the one file out of.
- Open up Disk Utility and repair the disk permissions. This will take some time.
- Restart your Mac. Enjoy full multitouch!
