iMap 2.6.3 available

I have just released an update for iMap. It includes the following changes:

  • “Create” button now works by hitting “Enter.”
  • Addition of meta-tags occasionally failed with Google Verification files. This has now been fixed..
  • Corrected “Help” menu items to include new video tutorials.
  • Enhanced speed connections with MobileMe/.Mac.

If you have problems updating, let me know. Keep in mind it’s always best to run the latest version of iMap.

iTweak 1.5: New feature

Besides all the bug fix updates in the past weeks, me and my partner have also been working on a new feature for iTweak. This feature is called “File Copy” and will come in especially handy to those who spice up their sites with lot’s of scripts or images. The new feature will bulk copy files or folders from one location to another. So instead of you manually moving the files from folder x to the published site, iTweak will fully automate the process for you.

The way in which it works is pretty self-explanatory, so just go ahead and download the new version.

iTweak Update Tsunami

Sorry everyone for the thousand iTweak updates I have been pushing out in the last two weeks. I think we moved from version 1.4.5 to 1.4.9 (that’s four updates). The basic changes of all these updates are as follows:

  • Favicon Tag now XHTML Transitional valid
  • Contact Form is no longer based on redirects. Thus, Google shouldn’t give you any sitemap errors.
  • Password Protection made a bit easier by combining the two textfields into one. The tutorial is already updated.
  • The addition of a favicon causing weird characters such as “d>d>” to show up in the site; now fixed.
  • iTweak no longer reads widget markup, google verification and other unimportant files. This makes the processes way faster and no longer causes the hitcounter error on the google verification file.
  • iTweak will no longer fail to add the contact form if other xml files are present.
  • Contactform will now take the style of textbox in which the keyword is contained for 100%. No more ugly fonts.
  • Fixed another important bug in which the favicon addition causes your site to end up so corrupt you can’t even trash. Sorry about that.
  • Lot’s of bugs are fixed.

Please just continue to update to the latest versions of iTweak. The newest version of iTweak is now 1.4.9. Make sure you run that version before contacting me about errors or bugs. They might have been fixed already.
