iMap 2.5 Out Now
14 Jul '08 Filed under iMap -

After having received some feedback from another developer, I went into heavily improving the backend coding of iMap. iMap has been made more stable and better working in nearly all processes. The only thing that still lacks is a stunning interface. Though that will come with version 2.6. The new version of has three main new enhancements:
- iMap now has a full helpbook that will help you in understanding the errors and getting rid of them without sending me a mail.

- iMap has now been updated to support MobileMe as well. You just have to select your option in the preference pane in iMap.
- iMaps backend has been heavily improved. One of the improvements is a complete log system. iMap now logs every action it takes. Whenever you get an error, iMap will log it. You can then mail me these logs and I’ll look into fixing the problem or helping you out.
The update is downloadable via iMap itself. If you have automatic updates set in iMaps preferences, it will automatically notify you of the update. Otherwise you can just select “Check for Updates…” from the “iMap” menu item in iMap.
Enjoy the update!

Hi Max just trying to update my website etc and was about to refresh myself on how to use my iMap etc…. When i now notice that you have a version 2.5 iMap available. My problem is that I cant update to it as I am still running the 2.2 version and it doesn’t seem to have a “preferences” menu or a “check for updates” - What do I need to do buddy?

Grant,
Drop me a mail with your transaction ID found in the original mail with the download link. I’ll then deactivate the link and you’ll be able to get the latest version.

Sorry about the earlier email Grant - looks like it is working now. Had to go in and ‘choose site’ again and now working fine.
Cheers,

I am trying to get your latest update, however when i select “Check for Updates” I always get “An error occurred in retrieving update information. Please try again later.”
I have tried this on several occasions on different days.
Is there another way I can get the update?
Kind regards,
Dave

Hi
I have just downloaded the latest version of iMap and I feel like the stupidest person on the planet. I have a Mobileme/.mac account with a personal domain name. I cannot get iMap to create a sitemap for me following both the video and written tutorials.
My Mobileme account states that my domain name is http://www.fairlightproductions.com so for my domain in iMap I am adding it like this http://www.fairlightproductions.com/Fairlight_Productions
This is how my site appears on the web yet I can’t get iMap to work.
What on earth am I doing wrong?
My folders are in the correct idisk location, iDisk sync is off. I have deleted my site from the Sites folder and then re-published it, all to no avail.
Please help, I am pulling my hair out here.
