iMap 2.6 Update is here
04 Aug '08 Filed under iMap -
As promised in the previous post, I am releasing the update for iMap. This is update 2.6. I really recommend that you update to this version. It is by now the most stable and best build of iMap (well the best version is the next one … but you get the idea). The changes are listed below, but you can take a look at them through a video as well.
- The helpbook has been heavily improved. It now includes a whole documentation, FAQ as well as a written guide for the online video tutorial.
- iMaps interface buttons have been modified to get enabled/disabled according to their usage.
- Full support for MobileMe (and still .Mac)
- iMap can now be controlled via shortcuts. Read more about them in the helpbook.
Those were some of the changes that you are actually “seeing.” Here is a list of some bugs that got fixed:
- Fixed the bug with no copy/paste
- Fixed the bug where iMap failed to add Meta-Tags due to the Google Verification file.
- Fixed the bug where iMap gave the message it was not supported by the architecture.
- Fixed the bug that iMap adds the Google Verification file into the sitemap. Google Verfication, index and all other unimportant HTML files are no longer included in the sitemap.
- Many other minor bugs fixed…
I hope you enjoy the new update. Though, don’t be to happy … iMap 3 is on it’s way. ![]()

Hi Simon,
I am not sure if it will be free or not. It depends if I convert iMap to Cocoa (other programming language) and add a bunch of new features.
Smaller updates will stay free.
