iMap Updated to Version 2.3

Finally we have updated iMap to version 2.3! Here is a list of what is new:

  • Meta-Tags issue fixed
  • Snippets window added
  • A preference window added with several options:
» Choose to create your URL with or without your site folder if you publish to a folder
» Choose how often you update your sitemap
» Create Robots.txt files for or against Google
  • Sparkle updating service

As always, updates will be sent out via email.

Update: A little bug-fix for the meta-tags end missing is now corrected as well. Thanks Ann for pointing that out! Thus, iMap 2.4 is already out!

  • Hi, I did not get an eamil for 2.4 only 2.3
    Thanks

I just put instructions in french on my site so that people who do not understand English can use your app. I hope this will bring new sales for you.

  • Hello,

I am not clear what Robots.txt files are for. I have searched this website and watched the tutorials, but have not found an explanation – have I missed something? If not, please could you explain.

    Thank you,
    David.

  • Hey guys,

I have the latest iMap and I just noticed that Google has an error with my robots.txt. The error says, “We can’t currently access your home page because of a robots.txt restriction.” Didn’t know if you’ve run into that before or if I’m doing something wrong. Please advise. Thanks!

  • User-agent: *
    Disallow: /
This is what my Robots file say. I doesn’t understand that message.
Do I need to create a robots file or not?

  • My problem with the robots.txt file is that iMap save it inside the directory http://www.andreamoretti.com/consulenteinformatico/robots.txt, but google search for it at http://www.andreamoretti.com/robots.txt

I do not see on the google panel a way to indicate the correct link and the only solution is to move it manually.

    Is there a different solution?

    Thanks in advance
