Is it possible to show your favicon if you have your website redirected and masked? I have read that it is impossible!

If I write my complete address it shows the favicon, but if I write my address (which is forwarded), it doest shoe the favicon! Please help!

I am following your directions, adding my favicon.ico to my iweb site name and uploading but my site is not changing. In the folder where I publish my site, and later upload onto my ipower server, I see he favicon file, but not necessarily attached. No changes, and when I look at my page source on-line nothing has changed.

Do you have an suggestions?

Well, darn. Now I feel like an idiot. My favicon just showed up on my site this morning. I guess I should have cleared my history or something. Thanks for the great site!

Hey, love your site and iTweak! I am having a little issue, though. I uploaded my new website yesterday (I host on .mac but mask the url) and when I used iTweak to add a favicon it worked beautifully. But for some reason it has stopped working. For a while I was getting an error message saying uploading favicon had failed. I looked into my favicon URL and made sure everything was perfect. Then I used “Publish All” from the toolbar rather than just hitting “Publish” and tried every step again. It went through the normal process, and gave me that satisfying “ding!” (love that sound!) but no favicon!! I repeated the whole process several times. Every time it seems to have gone smoothly, but my favicon still won’t load. Why, oh why, did it disappear? It was working so well there for a while!

what about if your hosting is through go-daddy and you web site was made with iweb. The directions above go through some steps for using mobile me as a host. But I cant figure out how to infiltrarte go daddy in order to get the favicon working. Plus i dont know what folder/items to move to godaddy or where to move it. Any help would be appreciated. I think I saw someone named Dave who said he figured it out.

It works in Safari and IE (pc), but I am not getting the favicon to show up in Firefox (mac or PC).
The icon generator generates a 32 x 32 .ico and I was wondering if that might be the problem, though I haven’t figured out how to download a 16 x 16 .ico from the site.
Do you think it’s the size?
