Integrating Google Search in iWeb
This tutorial will show you how to integrate the powerful Google Search into your iWeb Site. This allows visitors to use a custom search field to enter their query and return the results directly in your iWeb site!
You will need to have your site listed on Google in order for the searches to work! You can use my Get-On-Google Tutorial to make sure your site is listed.
- So let’s get started. In order to actually “get” the Google Search for your iWeb site, you will have to log into your Adsense Account or sign up for one.
While signing up, you will have to verify and accept several things with Google - but that should be easy.
In the Video Tutorial I am using my free app iTweak. You will need iTweak for this Video, so go ahead and download it here. - Now you can launch the Video Tutorial:
Launch Video Tutorial
The word I am typing in the text-box is this:%%GOOGLE_RESULTS_CODE%% - And yes, that’s it! You will just have to use iTweak everytime you publish to make sure the search works and is there!

Hi Max,
thanks a lot for iWebExpander. As far as I could see it works perfectly. I’ll link it from my website and answering questions on Apple Discussion Forum because it’s really helpful.
However I wanted to point out that, despite of what you say in the tutorial video) you can add the google search to the footer, just hold down Command(Apple) while moving the widget around.
Freundliche Grüsse aus der Schweiz und nochmals Danke für die Wunderbare Arbeit die du geleistet hast,
Cédric

Max, you can put the HTML Snippet into the footer. Just hold the Command key as you move it there.
