If you rip your own DVDs into iTunes, then you probably want to have some stunning artwork to go with it. The problem with the standard Google-found posters is that they are low quality, not the right aspect ration and are filled with unnecessary text. iTunes posters aren’t like that!
Here is a list of good and qualitative resources:
- The best option for movie covers is a huge Macrumors thread which shares all sorts of movie covers in the full iTunes quality. Lovely! Check it out here. This iPodTouchFans forums post has some posters as well.
- Well, one, there is this website called Josh’s Album Art Grabber. You simply place the URL of the album you want and the machine get’s the cover. Sadly enough, movie covers end up very small.
Though, for songs, this is a great resource and way better than those applications where you have to pay for them to grab images from Google.
- Raffael (see below) recommended a german website. They, Moviemaze, have a huge database of all movie posters and wallpapers. If you can’t find your movies with the Macrumors thread, then check this place out.
Do you want to get your audiobook from CD to iTunes? But not just as thousand songs – but as one file that goes into the audiobook tab both in iTunes and on your iPod? Do you even want chapters for your audiobook?
This tutorial will show you how to import your audiobook from CD and then get it into iTunes to show up under audiobooks with chapters!

If you still need to import the audiobooks into iTunes, then start with the first step. If you have them in iTunes already, skip to step two.

Well, this post is the solution to your problem. I will guide you step by step through a totally free tutorial that only uses free software to rip your DVD’s into iTunes and later enjoy them on your Apple TV or iPhone or iPod or whatever!
Is this easy? Hell yeah. Just some clicks and then you have it in iTunes.
Before we get started for this tutorial, I would just like to say that ripping the movies is illegal if you share or distribute them over the internet. This tutorial is intended to show you how you can get your self-bought DVD onto your own Mac and into your own iTunes. I think that for personal use you are free to rip them into your iTunes library – but don’t trust me here for 100%, I am not sure on that!
This is a long, long post, so I did split it into two parts. So, click the link below to read on.
